GE CIC / Telemetry Server Pre-Imaged Hard Drives

With our pre-imaged hard drives, you save time and money on a failed CIC or telemetry server drive — reducing repair time to about 15 minutes instead of a full depot turnaround. We offer both HDD and SSD drives, including full-disclosure drives that preserve historical waveform data.

Drive Replacement Steps

  1. Shut down the CIC.
  2. Ground yourself on the chassis grounding point on the back of the CIC.
  3. Unplug the power cord from the back of the CIC.
  4. Remove the cover.
  5. With a #1 Phillips screwdriver, remove the four screws on each side of the CIC.
  6. It’s a good time to vacuum out the CIC and clear out any dust.
  7. Disconnect the SATA and power cables from the drive.
  8. With the Phillips screwdriver, loosen the four screws from the top hard drive and lift the drive straight up.
  9. Take the screws from the old drive and install them in the new drive.
  10. Install the new drive and tighten the screws snugly.
  11. Replace the cover and screws.
  12. Plug the CIC back in and power it up.
  13. Wait for the “System Settings Change” message and select Yes to reboot.
  14. You’re back up and running.
