GE MP100 / Bedrock CIC Case Filter

The Case filter for the GE MP100 and GE Bedrock CIC;s is a magnetic filter that add filtration to the case so the insides of the CIC are protected from dust.

This simple add on not only keeps dust out of the CIC but also improves cooling of the unit’s and making the annual PM of opening up the CIC and vacuuming out unnecessary.

The MP100D and Bedrock CIC’s passive cooling comes from the vent holes on the bottom of the case and through the front cover of the CIC. When the vent holes become blocked, air is only pulled from the front cover and therefore only minimal air passing over the heat sinks and on the bottom of the main board.

The MP100D has only one row of cooling vent holes down the left side of the unit on the bottom.

Without any filtering, this is what  the insides of the unit become.

• Dust adds resistance to the circuity and slows down the unit
• Dust in high humidity can damage or destroy the main board
