Why do a Telemetry Health Check?

The Telemetry Health Check is the Preventative Maintenance (PM) for the Telemetry infrastructure and transmitters to verify that the system is functioning and performing up to the standard when the system was installed. The Infrastructure is one of the most ignored systems in the hospital. It is usually only looked at when there are system problems. Over time components degrade or fail. However, unlike a light bulb, it does not just fail at once. A Telemetry Health Check and Tune Up will minimize downtime and keep from disrupting patient monitoring.
